David’s Testimony
My parents are Buddhists and, when I was a kid, they brought me to the temple every year during Vesak Day. I was first exposed to the gospel when I was in Anglo Chinese School. Although I prayed the sinner’s prayer then, I wasn’t really sure if I was saved and I did not have a chance to attend a church as well.
When I was in the university, I faced a big trial in my personal life and was depressed. I was also heavily involved in heavy metal music and it often caused me to wonder what the meaning of life was.
It was God who sent Brother Daniel Tan into my life, and he brought me to BFC, where I learned more about God and what being a Christian meant.
Since then, God has shown me, day by day, what His will for me is. I am still learning more about Him, and still growing. And it is my prayer that God can use me to reach out to my parents and friends who do not know Him. Praise God for saving my sister and my best friend, too. He has really done the impossible in their lives and, as I look back on the last few years, I realize that He has done the impossible in my life as well! I truly thank God for giving me this new life in Him.
Adeline’s Testimony
I praise and thank God for being in my life every step of the way. I have been blessed with a wonderful family who has continually loved and supported me even until now.
The first time I heard the gospel was in Methodist Girls’ School’s chapel services, and, deep down, I knew that God was real. It was only in Junior College that God brought a close friend, Joann, into my life. She brought me to BFC, where I heard the gospel and was convicted of my sins and the holiness of God. I accepted Christ then, and joy came flooding in. I have been serving and worshipping God in the same church since then, and I can see God’s divine intervention in all that I do. He continues to shape my life and direct my path according to His will each day.
God has blessed me further by saving my sister and mother since my salvation, and I give all glory to Him. It is my prayer that my grandparents and in-laws will be saved one day and worship God together.
