The See Family

THE SEE FAMILY
Simon, 57, joined BFC in 2001 after 17 years in a Methodist church. A loving and patient father, he is a master-of-many-trades. He is working as a Operations Manager in a US company selling commercial printers, and in church, he is now serving in the Men’s Fellowship, Ushering and Scripture Reading ministry and teaching a Sunday Bible Class. When he retires, he hopes to be an artist, read all the books in the house, but most importantly to continue being a faithful steward of the Lord.
Esther, in her early 50s, joined BFC at the same time with her husband. She has the luxury of not needing to work since her two children take good care of her, but she is helping out at a childcare centre to keep herself occupied. She is Vice-Chairperson of the Ladies’ Fellowship and serving in the Treasury and Tiny Tots ministry. Her hobbies include reading Christian books, watching cooking programmes and documentaries on Traditional Chinese Medicine and ‘forcing’ her children to either eat more or sleep early.
Irwin, 27, was brought to BFC by his Aunty Hwee Theng when he was really young, and for that, he is always grateful to her. Among his many diverse interests are scuba-diving, map-collecting, swimming, book-collecting, reading, volunteering, and whatever spare time he has, he teaches History at Temasek Junior College. He is serving in the Youth Ministry, Ushers Ministry and Scripture Reading Ministry in church, and his prayer is that he will be a good role model for the youths and that they will grow and mature into fine young men and women of God.
Angelyn is in her early 20s and works as a marketing officer in the food industry. She came to her very first Children’s Camp in BFC when she was 10 years old, brought by her Aunty Hwee Theng. Although she had been attending another church since young, she did not know what it meant to grow and mature in Christ until the age of 14, when she committed her life to the Lord at the 1996 BFC June Camp. She is currently serving in the Children, Youth, Music and Greeters Ministry. Her prayer is that she can be a godly influence to the children and youth, to impact their lives for the Lord. 2 verses that are very dear to her heart throughout these years are Proverbs 3:5 and 6: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.?
